Halleluja! What a treasure we have in Stamford Choral!
And how fitting that, on the 150th anniversary of their inaugural concert, they should have enjoyed an audience packed to the rafters to hear once again the majestic strains of Handel's mighty "Messiah" filling the spacious vaults of Stamford School's Oswald Elliott Hall.
How proud would their musical forebears have been to witness this superb performance of that magnificent work. And how fortunate are we to have on our doorsteps a company capable of delivering such a towering and inspirational performance, complete with professional orchestra and soloists , under the baton of their energetic and mercurial conductor, Jeremy Jepson.
Long may this treasure endure, and long may we continue to support and enjoy its outstanding contribution to the culture of our local community.
